About Chelsea
I’m a California native who has been living in Utah for 19 years and I have been practicing bodywork for 16 of them. My journey started when I attended Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2007, then quickly got a job at a physical therapy clinic once I graduated. I enjoyed combining the manual techniques that I learned in massage school and applying it to a clinical setting. I eventually went back to school in 2017 to become a physical therapist assistant and further my training. After working for a few years I decided to branch out on my own and start my own practice.
In 2012 I began taking courses for Cranio Sacral therapy from the Upledger Institute in order to aid patients who are recovering from head injuries. I quickly became fascinated with working with the tissues of the body rather than against them. I learned that the body has the ability to hold on to trauma and the only way to truly release them is to help soothe the nervous system. I have since completed several courses in craniosacral therapy and plan to continue my education.
Today I enjoy utilizing all the tools that I’ve learned from working as a Physical therapist assistant and integrating them with my abilities as a massage therapist. I am extremely skilled with deep tissue massage as well as working with injuries. I believe there is a time for deep tissue and a time for Cranio Sacral. Or sometimes a little bit of both.
